Check out the Broadband Commission’s Transforming Lives Campaign

A Look into Daily Broadband Use Across the Globe

The Broadband Connectivity, Transforming Lives Campaign, was announced in January 2020 at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos.
This series explores the many uses of broadband around the world, showing the power of connection and the importance of reaching the Broadband Commission’s goal of Universal Connectivity. Whether it is providing critical healthcare services, ensuring equitable access to governmental services or providing a platform for modern businesses, broadband has proven itself essential to everyday life, for all.

To kick off the series, we have traveled from India, to Mexico and Nigeria, to capture a day in the life of broadband based businesses, governments and average citizens.

Healthcare Services

Hear from Temie, founder of the digital health service LifeBank, who has created a platform to connect blood donors and other services, to the people that need them.

This video was developed in collaboration with Broadband Commissioner Sun Yafang’s team from Huawei Technologies.

Digital Businesses

Spend a day in the life of young Indian social media entrepreneur, Ratan, who has used her internet connectivity to launch a business through applications like TikTok and Vevo.
